Stillness Practice

Stillness is more of a time to be quiet and reflective in mind and body rather than an actual technique. Please click on the above link for more information.

Seven Steps of Stillness:

The Seven Steps of Stillness provide a good beginning structure to practice quieting the mind and getting used to setting time aside each day to be with your spirit.

Once familiarity with the attitude of being “still” then stillness can be used for other spiritual pursuits, such as healing. The Stillness for Chakra Alignment is an effective technique that clears the energy centers and opens them to the divine current of light. The Heartbeat of Stillness meditation takes you into the realm of the heart and helps to soften the resistance sometimes experienced when trying to get more in touch with the body. Both are effective techniques for healing emotional and physical traumas and will help you yield to the loving touch of your Divine Parents who want the best for you.

Stillness for Chakra Alignment:

Begin at the root chakra and ask for that energy center to be calibrated on the divine pattern. Invite Spirit into that center and allow yourself to feel the energy occurring there. Once the intention is set, focus on your slow deep breathing and concentrate on feeling the beating of your heart. Sense the energy moving through the chakra. Move up into the sacral chakra when you feel the energy rising; repeat the intention for that center, and then focus on your breathing and heartbeat. Continue in the same fashion as the root and repeat until you have moved up to the crown. After you have felt the crown energy move, relax in the entire flow through the body and ask for your entire body to be repatterned upon the divine. Feel the body expand its energy field outside of your physical body. Stay in that state of expansion for as long as you like. Thank Spirit for the healing you have received, and bring yourself back to normal consciousness gently.

The Heartbeat of Stillness:

Feel your heartbeat or find your pulse if you cannot sense your heart beating. Ask for the lifeblood of Spirit to enter into your circulatory system and to circulate the divine life spark throughout your entire body. After you have set the intention, return your focus to your heartbeat and relax. This exercise will help you get into your body as it stills the mind from its chatter. Stay centered on your heartbeat for as long as possible; if your mind wanders simply return time and again to your heartbeat. Feel where the energy takes you. If you feel resistance or pain in your body, DO NOT RESIST. Allow the energy to open and expand itself in your body by deep breaths and exhale the tension you feel. Allow any negative thoughts or feelings to exist; do not try to rationalize or figure out what is happening. Simply return to your heartbeat and tell your body to open to the energy of Spirit moving through you. Stay in this cycle of feeling the energy and sensing your heartbeat for as long as you feel the energy moving through you. When you are ready to return to normal consciousness, thank Spirit for the blessings received during your time in stillness and gently bring yourself back to the present.
